There’s something about the Hutchies culture that sets us aside from other builders. We work hard together, celebrate our achievements, support local communities, and believe in a ‘fair go’ for everyone. A Hutchies project team is more than just a bunch of people that puts bricks and mortar together.
The average tenure of our staff is something unequalled anywhere else in the industry. On average, our senior leadership have been with us 16 years or more. This speaks volumes about the type of organisation we are – and the work that we do.
Our flat management structure is also typical of our culture: inclusive and accessible. Each of our 25 Team Leaders reports directly to our Managing Director, keeping our business personal, accountable and responsive. Our people are empowered to solve problems and make decisions, but our open door policy assures that anyone is just a phone call away from the Managing Director or Chairman, should the need arise.

Hutchies’ Board has a sensible combination of general business and management experience, together with building and construction industry and financial experience. Combined, they have an average tenure of 22 years with Hutchies.
#Construction Team Leaders
Our integrated construction teams are headed up by our Team Leaders, who are highly motivated and experienced building professionals. Each team has been hand-picked on the basis of individuals’ skills and experience in a particular specialty area. While all of our teams are very much part of the overall Hutchies' structure, Team Leaders are empowered to make their own decisions. We're not big on bureaucracy at Hutchies.
