Although we’ve only put down permanent roots in Darwin relatively recently, we have a strong history in the Northern Territory, having delivered some $250M worth of projects over the last seven years. With such a strong presence, the Hutchies Top End family was not about to miss out on the nation-wide festivities. As with all the preceding parties, Managing Director Greg Quinn kicked off the formalities by introducing the third and fourth generation custodians of Hutchies, Jack Snr and current Chairman Scott Hutchinson.

Darwin Team Leader Peter Lee – a Hutchies veteran of some nine years – was pleased to use the birthday celebrations as an opportunity to recognise the milestone of establishing a permanent office in Darwin. He thanked everyone for coming and acknowledged the support of our local clients and sub-contractors. Peter also expressed his delight to be leading the Darwin team and his excitement to be contributing to the long term growth of the city. The gathering was entertained by the One Mob Indigenous dance group and music by The Kicks, finishing the night with a special fireworks display – which by all reports trumped the Territory Holiday Fireworks.
