Lidcombe Public School
Hutchies was pleased to be appointed to undertake works at Lidcombe Public School. We also delivered upgrade works at Merrylands and Williams Stimson Public Schools in parallel. At Lidcombe, we built a single level administration building and a two storey 'homebase' facility which will house an additional 370 students.
The scope of works involved site clearing and demolition of existing trees, playgrounds and relocation of demountable buildings to make way for 16 permanent teaching spaces, a new library, administration facilities, and new external softfall and landscaping.
This was a staged development, with the administration building completed first, prior to construction of the new homebase. The administration building is 756m2 and is constructed of lightweight prefinished panel on a suspended slab on piers.
The Homebase is 2,991m2 and consists of a new library and 14 new classrooms featuring timber ceilings and an external architectural powder coated louvre system.
