Merrylands Public School

The NSW Government recently undertook a major program of work to upgrade and build new schools across the state. Hutchies was thrilled to be appointed to undertake expansion works at Merryland Public School, along with two other NSW primary schools in parallel.

The upgrade involved the construction of 10 new permanent teaching spaces across a three level ‘homebase’ facility, accommodating an additional 200 students. The scope of works included the demolition of an existing amenities block and construction of a stepped brick feature face external façade with a powder coated aluminium screen feature. 

Hutchies was honoured to welcome New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian to the school on 14 October 2019. Ms Berejiklian officially opened the newly constructed buildings for D1, T4 2019.
