The Original Waltzing Matilda Centre

Hutchinson Builders was proud to be selected as the builder of the original Waltzing Matilda Centre in the late 1990s. We’ve found this selection of beautiful black and white photography by Richard Knowles, tracking the journey of construction of the centre.

In June 2015 the Waltzing Matilda Centre was tragically destroyed by an electrical fire. Hutchies was naturally devastated by this sad event for the historic town of Winton.

This feature is Hutchies' visual chronicle in memory of the old building and in celebration of the new structure that will soon stand in her place.
