Cbus Property appointed Hutchinson Builders as their construction contractor for this landmark project, The Langston. Located in Epping, NSW, the major residential mixed use development features three towers of 19, 24 and 29 storeys, and includes 463 apartments, with a ground floor retail / mixed use precinct comprising 1,681m2 of retail space and 1,921m2 of communal open space.
This was Hutchies’ first project with Cbus and we were thrilled to work together on such a significant development. We also collaborated with award winning design firm Architectus, who we’ve partnered with on a number of previous projects. Our scope included the demolition of the former Westpac Card Services building in Langston Place, as well as excavation of the site to accommodate a four level basement, and pedestrian links connecting The Langston with Pembroke Park, the local public library, and other recreational facilities.
The Langston plays a major role in the revitalisation of the Epping Town Centre. It is the largest development in the area, and sits on the highest land point in the suburb, boasting panoramic views to the Sydney CBD and Harbour Bridge to the south-east, and Blue Mountains views to the west.
