#How they can help
TIACS is a free and confidential counselling service for tradies, truckies, rural, blue collar workers and those who care about them, available Australia-wide. Need a yarn? Give TIACS a call or text to speak with a counsellor.
TIACS stands for 'this is a conversation starter' — it was created by the guys from Trademutt who saw a gap in real support for blue collar workers across Australia.
They provide free confidential counselling via phone and SMS. If you're not ready to talk, they also have an online free toolbox of information and resources about mental health and wellbeing.
#How it works
Who will I talk to?
The TIACS clinical team consists of experienced counsellors and mental health professionals.
After making an appointment, TIACS' clinical manager will decide which counsellor would be the best match for you and your situation. If you have a preference for the gender of your counsellor, make sure you let them know during your first call.
What can I talk about?
You can talk about anything.
Some of the most common reasons we see for contacting TIACS is relationship troubles, familial issues, grief and loss, substance use, depression, anxiety and loneliness.
Not sure what to talk about? That’s okay. They will ask you questions and guide you through the conversation.
How do I book an appointment?
The best part about TIACS is that you don’t need an appointment to get free mental health support. Call or text anytime Mon-Fri 8am-10pm AEST to have a chat.
If you are looking for ongoing support, they can help with that too. TIACS doesn’t offer online bookings, since they prefer to get to know you first in order to decide which counsellor can best support you.
So give them a call, and tell them a bit about yourself, and together they can decide how best to support you and your mental health.
