The iconic Twin Towns RSL was originally designed by renowned Queensland architect Stephen Trotter of Fulton Gilmour Trotter Moss and became one of Queensland's recognisable entertainment clubs during the 70s, 80s and 90s.

In 2012 Hutchies were thrilled to lead the major refurbishment and extension to Twin Towns with an ambitious staging program to achieve completion by Christmas.

Major demolition works made way for a new sports bar and TAB on the ground floor which was the first stage of works to be opened. The extension works incorporating the external gaming deck were completed with complex facetted roofing structures. Flames restaurant received a total refurbishment and opened on time despite some major structural alterations uncovered during demolition works.

Throughout the works the club remained trading in full service, a testament to the hard work and commitment of both the Club staff and the Hutchies site team.
