The Townsville Cowboys has a new world-class home at the North Queensland Stadium precinct. This new state-of-the-art facility provides a purpose designed and built community, training and high performance centre (CTPH) that will leave a lasting legacy on sport in regional Queensland for generations. 

Continuing on from Hutchies' longterm support and sponsorship of the Townsville Cowboys, we were humbled to have this iconic new building named after us — the Hutchinson Builders Centre of Excellence (HBCE). We've enjoyed a wonderful history working with the Cowboys, not just as major sponsors, but as community partners in creating real opportunities for education, training and employment of First Australians across North Queensland.

This new world class facility was designed by Populous, and delivered by Hutchies together with the Cowboys through an intensive early contractor involvement (ECI) process. This maximised opportunities on the project prior to construction to create innovation and value. Hutchies built it through a design and construct delivery model which prioritised local industry participation, working with community, small and medium enterprises, and providing genuine Indigenous outcomes across the job.

The HBCE is brings together the Cowboys' core functions across administration, hospitality, recreational, gym and office facilities over three levels in the one location, and even has additional sub-leased tenancies. In addition, there is dedicated car parking facilities, three swimming pools and training sports field, altitude simulation cardio and sleep rooms and indoor multi use synthetic turf training field convertible to hard court sports floor.

Medical sports consulting and sports rehabilitation services will also be provided at the centre, while the Townsville City Council will be able to host events for the public at the community field.
