Having created the original award winning East Shores Precinct development in 2014, Hutchies is thrilled to be undertaking the next stage of the much loved waterfront precinct.

The $16M expansion provides a world-class leisure destination, increasing the existing amenities to cater to the growth of the region, attracting tourists and locals alike to access all that the burgeoning district has to offer. A new plaza for the cruise ship terminal is integral to creating a transport interface hub and multi-purpose function centre which integrates with the outdoor precinct.

The expansion includes a new waterfront café, open air cinema, and picnic shelters, as well as a boot camp area with novelty feature shower. Works incorporated a large civil component, as well as landscaping and a new car park, which required around 2,150m3 of concrete and 8,800m2 of turf. We were pleased to also work with local businesses to make sure we maximise benefits to the Gladstone community during construction.
