Hutchies was contracted to complete a full internal and external renovation of an existing resort located on Hastings St, Noosa. The renovation included a basement and three individual three-level buildings all of which had been built at different times and all had different construction techniques resulting in multiple design solutions.

The programme was extremely tight as the resort was required to be closed for renovation during the months of April through to December to capitalise on the building being ready for the January 2014 holiday period. The three individual towers were successfully handed over to the Client progressively to allow the resort to install the required fit-out.

The Client and architect were intrinsically involved in the selection of materials, continuing to search for unique, high quality but efficient material selections. This required extensive coordination and consultation between the Client, architect, builder and subcontractors throughout the project construction period. As a result of this consultation process, strong relationships were formed between Hutchinson Builders, the Client and architect on this project which benefited all stakeholders. Our team on site also maintained excellent relationships with surrounding businesses which were sad to see the project come to an end.
